This is a single probe temperature alarm, covering -200°C to +50°C, housed in a wall-mounted or free-standing box. The basic unit includes alarm on high and low temperatures, with audible and visual alarm indicators (beeper and LED), settable initial delay, mute and alarm "chirp" periods, and a UL listed plug-in power supply. The Model 140-200R utilizes a Type âTâ thermocouple, with a 2.5 sheath.
Available options include 5 mv/°C voltage or 4 to 20 mA output for recorder or data logger, alarm condition latch, and an internal battery and charger for operating during power failure. An optional extended panel is also available, for direct mounting into a wall or cabinet panel opening.
Features to make this instrument suitable for applications such as built-in monitoring of LN2 or -135 or -150°C ultra low temp. freezers include temporary muting of the alarm beeper for user-selectable periods up to about 30 minutes (the beeper cannot be disabled completely); the relay contacts with user adjustable delay period, indicating a temperature alarm condition or power failure, for hookup to a remote alarm device or telephone dialer.
